Inclusion

We want your child to be a part of our children’s ministry. We want them to get to know other children and engage in our fun and exciting activities. If your child needs to separate from others for their own benefit, we will certainly accommodate their needs. However, our goal is to integrate them into our existing classrooms as best we can!

Trained Volunteers

NFKids has a trained team of volunteers ready to serve children with special needs. Our volunteers are first aid and CPR certified and have participated in training provided by the Pediatric Autism Center. If you’d like, we can place one of these trained volunteers as a “buddy” to accompany your child throughout their time with NFKids.

Secure Area

Our children’s ministry is contained within a secure area. A door monitor is stationed at the children’s wing entrance at all times to ensure that no unauthorized visitors enter and no authorized visitors flee.

Resources

Our children’s area is equipped with resources to help accommodate a variety of special needs. For instance, we have noise cancelling headphones for children with sensitivity to sound. We have a designated “Calming Corner” for use if children’s emotions are running high and they need to regain emotional or physical control. We want to be proactive in using our resources to set your child up for success
