Teacher: Kyle Davis
Purpose:
This class explores the biblical mandate and practical shape of making disciples in the local church. Together, we will trace how Jesus formed his own disciples, why the gospel of grace produces obedience rather than legalism or license, what it costs to follow him, and how the church carries this work forward in community rather than alone. Participants will gain a theology and philosophy for making disciples, along with the ability to recognize and resist the competing stories our culture tells in its place.
Each week will introduce key questions and a demonstration of how this part of our 2035 Vision is grounded in Christian Scripture and Doctrine, and why it matters for Christian Practice in everyday life.
Overview:
This Core Class is one of our Community Life classes on the 2035 Vision, which is to become a church that pursues Intentional Discipleship, Personal Holiness, and Radical Generosity. The class closes by helping each participant name their next step of formation and readiness to be sent.
